WHO:

Boys and girls ages 4-18 (age as of 6/1/2025).

WHAT:

P.C.P.R.D. Youth Soccer Program (8-game season).

WHEN:

REGISTER NOW THRU Friday JANUARY 31ST, 2025 @ 5:00pm. (or until age groups are filled)
You must register by January 31st, 2025 @ 5:00pm, to be guaranteed a place on a team. If there is not enough players to make an age group you will either be refunded or combined with another age group if possible. Season will run late March to Mid May.

WHERE:

Sign up is online only. Call out information will be sent out after registration period closes and we finalize our numbers. They will be held at the OMA Fields middle of February.

COST:

Registration fee is only $40.

ABOUT:

The P.C.P.R.D. Youth Soccer Program is for all area boys and girls ages 4-18 (as of 6/1/2025). The program is for youths who want to play in an atmosphere of fair play/good sportsmanship that is RECREATION focused. The main goal of our league is having fun, not winning or losing.

Last year nearly 1300 youths played in 11 age groups.

Age Groups:

U5 Coed (age 4)

U6 Coed (age 5)

U7 Coed (age 6)

U8 Coed (age 7)

U10 Boys (ages 8-9)

U10 Girls (ages 8-9)

U12 Boys (ages 10-11)

U12 Girls (ages 10-11)

U15 Boys (ages 12-14)

U15 Girls (ages 12-14)

U19 Coed (ages 15-18)

Each season is 8 games with U19s playing on Tuesdays and every other age group on Saturday mornings. Teams will be determined by the athletic department based on call outs. Please do not ask to be placed on the same team with friends as we can not accommodate these requests.

We provide basic training in soccer skills and rules along with positive leadership to build character and overall citizenship of the players.

Our youth soccer program introduces youths to the game and provides an atmosphere of fun play while learning about the sport. This is rec-level and we stress FUN and development. The 8-game season.

Participants not registered by January 31st will be on a waiting list. PLEASE DO NOT ASK US TO TEAM FRIENDS OR NEIGHBORS TOGETHER! We cannot be fair to others if we do. Thank you!

We will need volunteer coaches for every team. Your child will be placed on your team with you. Please check the box "yes" at the end of the page if you would like to become a coach and the Parks and Recreation department will follow up with the next steps. You must be able to pass a background check.

PCPRD Parents’ Code of Ethics

I hereby pledge to provide positive support, care, and encouragement for my child participating in youth sports by following this PAYS Parents’ Code of Ethics:

I will encourage good sportsmanship by demonstrating positive support for all players,
coaches, and officials at every game, practice, or other youth sports event.

I will place the emotional and physical well-being of my child ahead of a personal desire
to win.

I will insist that my child play in a safe and healthy environment.

I will support coaches and officials working with my child, in order to encourage a
positive and enjoyable experience for all.

I will demand a sports environment for my child that is free from drugs, tobacco, and
alcohol, and will refrain from their use at all youth sports events.

I will remember that the game is for youth - not for adults.

I will do my very best to make youth sports fun for my child.

I will help my child enjoy the youth sports experience by doing whatever I can, such as
being a respectful fan, assisting with coaching, or providing transportation.

I will ask my child to treat other players, coaches, fans, and officials with respect
regardless of race, sex, creed, or ability.

I will read the National Standards for Youth Sports and do what I can to help all youth
sports organizations implement and enforce them.

I am aware that violation of this Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary action that could include, but is not limited to, the following:

•Verbal warning by athletic staff
•Probation in form of a written warning from Plant City Parks & Recreation Department
•Suspension for one or more games
•Dismissal
