INCENTIVE GRANT PROGRAM APPLICATION

COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY
The Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) of the City of Plant City developed a Financial Incentive Grant Program to eliminate slum, blight, and encourage investment in the Community Redevelopment Area. Current funding for the incentives will be provided primarily through the utilization of the Tax Increment Financing (TIF) Trust Funds. The program is administered on a first come, first served, basis. All grants are provided on a reimbursement model.

Submittal Requirements
- Building must be located within the Community Redevelopment Area.
- Location map.
- Photographs, clearly showing existing conditions.
- Project Budget Form, showing estimates of all items.
- Project timeline.
- Samples of facade colors to be used on facade and signs.
- Two quotes.
- Written specifications outlining scope of work.
- Detailed drawing or rendering of the planned improvements.
- W-9 Tax Form.
- Notarized Application Certification Form.
- Certificate of Appropriateness Form for buildings deemed to be contributing to a historic district, or determined to be an archeological or historical site.
- Proof of flood insurance if property is located in a designated flood zone.
- Proof of income and copy of sales contract (affordable housing).

Eligible applicants include commercial and Industrial establishments, homeowners and authorized tenants for painting grants (see Guidelines page 7).

Project improvements may commence after receipt of the official Project Award Letter (see Guidelines, page 8).

Cash receipts are not eligible for reimbursement (see Guidelines, page 10).

Applicants must provide proof of payment for all expenditures related to incentive grant purchases. Acceptable documentation includes copies of cancelled checks (front and back), certified checks, money orders or credit card statements that clearly reflect the transaction details (see Guidelines, Page 10).
